One God

I went to church tonight and something that was said concerned me.  The belief that God is three persons.  That the Father Son and Holy Spirit is three different persons is a lie from the devil.  God is not a person.    As John 16:17 states with Jesus replying to Peter for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.  Jesus just told us that his Father is not made of flesh and blood.  Jesus is the visible form of the invisible God.   What concerns me is that the pastor said that the trinity is a vital truth.  With what has been revealed to me through study and teachings I have heard I can not and will not believe in the trinity.  What makes things difficult is by not knowing who God truly is you may wonder who do you pray to.  Do I pray to the Holy Spirit should I spend time praying to each.  Jesus said to pray in this manner Our Father who art in Heaven.  There is only one that we pray to.  In Isaiah 45:24 it says "I am the Lord who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread the earth by myself."  God will share His glory with no man.  A person is by definition an individual human being and you can not tell me there are three person in one God it just can not be.  I know that God is God alone and not three persons on a throne.  I know that many will not agree with me but I hope that you will not just blindly dismiss what I write but rather seek for yourself who God is.

wise men bad company

I was talking to a friend one day and he was curious about weather Solomon had been saved.  Toward the end of his life he chose to worship the gods of his harem.  I told him that it is not important weather or not Solomon was saved but to learn the lessons taught.  The lesson I have learned is that even the wisest man can be brought down by bad company.  Joyce Meyer says that she will enjoy anybodies company as long as she's affecting them and she's not being infected by them.  Your life is made by the choices you make.  You can allow others to infect you or you can bring joy to the lives around you.  A kind word, a smile, these small things are import to keep on your lips.  For in your mouth contains death and life as Jesus says chose life.

Blessed

I watched the movie P.S. I love you and realized that I am truly blessed.  I have a love that will never die.  Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. I may be out of a job, thousands of dollars in debt but I know that I am never alone.  I have the reassurance as a child of God that I have all that I need.  With this knowledge I have no reason to fear or worry.  May your day be just as blessed.

Luke 15:11-32

 

I pray that God will speak of His love to you as He has to me.

 

God does not condemn us.  It is by His goodness that we come to repentance.  The prodigal son went back to his father not to be reconciled to his father but because he was hungry and knew that even his fathers hired servants had more than enough to eat.  So he went to his fathers house with a rehearsed speech but after he had said father I have sinned against you and heaven before he could finish saying he would work his way to receive anything.  He received a robe, sandals, ring and a party. We do not receive grace and mercy by anything we do including repenting.  Had the son repented before the father who saw him from a distance came running (God is constantly looking out to see if we will come to Him).  We need to agree with God that we have missed the mark in other words sinned.  Knowing we deserve none of God's goodness if we deserve anything it is His righteous anger.  After all we have done we receive God's mercy and grace and in doing so we repent by choose to walk in His light rather than our darkness.  Let me put it another way.  Once I got burned out from the pain I felt from the choices I've made I came to God hoping to find a little bit of sanity from the chaos that has became my life.  I knew that by witnessing other children of God it is possible that I might be required to do good works in order to receive from God.  I realized it doesn't work like that once I confessed that I had sinned and believe that Jesus died for my sins every last stinking one of them.  I was robed with Christ's blood, and in putting on that robe I have put on righteousness, healing, love.  The list goes on.  All I know is that our Father in heaven loves us and I out of love for Him chose to obey Him.  I also know that it is only by the power of His Holy Spirit that I am able to do so.  Guess what that means there's no pressure to perform.

New day New faith

Well as life would have it.  Nothing goes as plan.  Or as I've heard it said before and love to share anytime I have a chance.  Life is what happens while your busy making other plans.  I had this great plan of going to school but what I failed to realize I was jumping into the deep end of the pool without realizing I didn't know how far I had to swim.  This is important information to have.  I'm sure I could have swam for a few feet it turned out that the deep end was going to get deeper for a while before it became shallow again.  The only thing that I could think to do at the time was to get out of the pool before I got to far from the edge and could no longer pull myself out.  So now that, that plan has gone to the birds where do I go from here.  It is easy to feel like a failure when you seem to quit everything you ever start.  I just can not stay in a negative mood.  I find just a little bit faith in a new idea and I'm off and running again.  You can not keep a child of God down.  Anything good in my life comes from God.  It does not come from the good I do or the money I may send to a charity in Africa.  The reason I had to say that is that I get these forward text messages and it's like if you send this to so many people something good will happen or the notion of good karma.  There is a spirit world as much as there is a physical world that much is true.  That is why spiritual laws work weather your a sinner or a saint.  I may post more on that latter but realize There is a God and He is Good.
